I have been using the services of Sewing and Alterations since early last year, when my daughter needed her wedding dress altered for her wedding in June. From the very first contact Nicky was friendly and informative and arranged to see us within a few days of my call. My daughters wedding dress needed the bodice taken in, and as this was boned and intricately beading I was not sure whether it would be possible to alter it. However, Nicky soon reassured us and in a very short time the dress was ready for collection and a perfect fit. A year later I was back again with another daughter, and another wedding dress. Again I thought that my daughters 're-designing' of her wedding dress would not be possible but Nicky proved me wrong, and in fact put right the skirt that had been badly made by the manufacturer! Daughter number two is a bit fussier than daughter number one but from start to finish Nicky gave friendly, expert and patient advice and nothing was too much trouble for her. After a couple of visits and alterations the dress was exactly what my daughter wanted and the alterations were charged at a very reasonable price.
